CFE stands for cloud, fog and edge. We founded the company in 2024 to build and run software for machines and devices in the field.
Thomas Deutsch, MSc
Co-founder
Thomas builds and runs industrial IoT and edge platforms. Since 2024 he has been Lead Industrial IoT & Platform Architect at BLUELINE / Linetechnology, responsible for architecture, development and operations of the BLUECTRL platform, from the controller to the cloud. Before that he was product owner and IT project lead for e-commerce platforms at incert eTourismus in Linz. MSc and BSc in Business Informatics from Johannes Kepler University Linz, Professional Scrum Product Owner I (2024).

Stefan Hinterhölzl
Co-founder and managing director
Stefan runs the company and, like Thomas, works in the projects himself as a developer and consultant. Since 2023 he has been developing embedded Linux software for the system control of devices in the energy sector: C++, Linux and Yocto on the device, plus an Angular interface for configuring the devices in the browser. Before that he worked as an IT consultant in industry (SAP custom development) and, at the JKU Christian Doppler Laboratory for Model-Integrated Smart Production, built a REST interface that stores and evaluates data from devices in a Zigbee network and controls them. MSc and BSc in Business Informatics from Johannes Kepler University Linz.
